Spotted the above and thought of rubber "bumpers" on a Robot edge

Hi,

 I simply follower the instructables and just a mat built to the sixze under each window & door plus other palces. Wired the mats as alarms to a central monitor so that I can see which way to aim the mil version Mossberg.:-)

Conductive rubber IS A Switch

David,

The rubber descibed in the Instructable is a pressure switch itself.

 So if you wire the layers as described in the article any time the rubber bumper is touched with sufficient pressure it will activate as a momentary on / off switch.

I made about 20 of these and they are under the carpets / flooring as part of an alarm syatem.
