Hello everyone I've tried looking for forum posts regarding my problem but I haven't seen anything specific to my situation, I’m trying to build the robot in the guide by kawal "http://communityofrobots.com/tutorial/kawal/how-make-your-first-robot-using-arduino". I could use some help if anyone can answer my question. I've tried building this robot but I used the wrong dc motors, they have an 8600 rpm but they can't carry anything, little torque I guess, they stop as soon as I set them on the ground. I'm using the arduino motor shield and I was wondering if these motors in this link would do the trick "http://www.robotshop.com/pololu-80rpm-plastic-gear-motor.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=jos”. Would 2 of them share the 6v well and would it support the load? I'm basically using the same parts as Kawal so it would be a similar load. If you know of any other good not too expensive dc motors which would you recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advanced.

Hi,The motors you mentioned

Hi,

The motors you mentioned(robotshop motors) would work with this robot without any problem.

I dont remember it properly but i think motors used in http://communityofrobots.com/tutorial/kawal/how-make-your-first-robot-using-arduino are also 80 to 100rpm.

Good luck!
